The RSC-384-XX HUD camera is a ruggedized high resolution color remote head camera which includes a compact variable field-of-view lens with motorized iris, specifically developed for harsh environments and applications where an optimal field of view is required. Auto iris control is provided via drive circuitry located in the camera's EU (Electronics Unit) or remote RPS-77 Power Supply. The CCD sensor is remoted from the EU where XX is the distance with either flexprint or round cable. These features lend themselves to Head-Up Display (HUD), and pilot's view applications. Variable field-of-view lens makes installations an easy task without expensive modifications of the aircraft. Motorized iris lens is ideal for wide light level changes encountered in the air and captures the HUD symbology without the interference seen with CCD iris.
